Carbondale, Illinois:

Carbondale , Illinois is a small rural town with a population of approximately 25,000; it is a quiet town renowned for its freshwater, clean air, and education. It is surrounded by nature as Shawnee National Forest , lakes  and state parks. Geographically, Carbondale is luckily located at the crossroad of two total solar eclipses  on August 21, 2017  and one on April 8, 2024. If you miss the 2017 one, you will have the incoming 2024 one in Carbondale.

The major industries in Carbondale include Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIU Carbondale) and Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH). In 2019, SIU Carbondale celebrated its 150th anniversary in achieving its mission.
